Nutrition Principles: Always choose whole, real foods first. If it comes in a wrapper, it probably shouldn't go in your body.
I also strongly believe in the Blood Type is ideal for most people.

Training Principles: Shock the system, but control the weight. Never approach your body with the exact same training principle, but never sacrifice form for flair. I don't care if you can do side laterals with a set of 50's -- if you're flinging the weight around and dang near doing a kipped, stiff-leg deadlift with them, that's not effectively training your delts. Slow down your eccentric motions and really engage the targeted muscles.

Current Goals: Launch my website, grow my training business, enjoy my family and come back to the stage fresh when my body is ready.

My Motivation: I am driven to help as many people as possible through my story, my example and ultimately with my training and nutritional knowledge and experience. With that I am always constantly driven to be an active mother to my son and a good wife to my husband.

Favourite AD Supplements and Why: It's a toss up between Ravenous and Matador. Those were the first two supplements I was introduced to from the AD line and they have been a part of my arsenal every since because they fall right in line with my nutrition principles of making the food work for you.

Favourite Body Part: Hard one-- delts and lats along with hamstrings.

Favourite Prep Meal: Orange Roughy on a bed of greens with homemade salsa for the dressing.

Favourite Cheat Meal: Guacamole and Tortilla Chips, the rest of the meal is secondary :)

How did you get into fitness and competing? After a major neck surgery at the age of 23 (actually on my 23rd birthday), I spent a year rehabbing and getting very out of shape. Initially competing was simply a goal to focus on as I regained my health and strength in 2008-2009. Little did I know that first competition would ignite a lifelong passion and pursuit of excellence.

How do you balance your social life and fitness life? I have had years where I am completely awful at this, and it has definitely been a hard lesson. I have lately commited to some time off from the stage be my spine needs the rest and my business could stand to grow. I am currently focusing on competing either late 2018 or early 2019 at the soonest.

Who do you look up to in the fitness industry? Nicole Wilkins and Jamie Eason.
